Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners.
Cookies are not programs and cannot access other files on your device or run code. They contain only the data that the server places in them. Each cookie has an expiration date — "session cookies" expire when you close your browser, while "persistent cookies" remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them.
Similar technologies include local storage (used in web apps to store data in your browser), session storage, pixels (tiny transparent images embedded in pages or emails that signal when content has been viewed), and device fingerprinting. This policy covers all such technologies collectively referred to as "cookies" for simplicity.
Axelis uses cookies and similar technologies for several purposes:
We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising to you across third-party websites, and we do not sell data collected via cookies to advertising networks.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these cookies under most regulatory frameworks.
These cookies maintain your logged-in state across page loads and sessions. Without them, you would need to log in on every page you visit. They are set by Supabase (our authentication provider) and by Axelis directly.
Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) tokens and related security cookies protect your account against common web attacks. These are essential for the secure operation of the platform.
Cookies that store your display preferences, such as dark/light mode selection, language setting, and dashboard layout configurations. These persist your settings between sessions.

We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the Service — which features are most used, where users encounter difficulties, and how the platform performs across different devices and browsers. This information helps us improve Axelis. Analytics cookies are not essential to core functionality.
We may use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymized usage data. We configure Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses and to not share data for advertising personalization. Google Analytics sets cookies including _ga, _gid, and _gat. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Axelis tracks feature usage events (e.g., "user clicked Schedule Post," "user generated image") using first-party event tracking stored in our own Supabase database. This data is used for product analytics and improvement and is not shared with third-party advertising networks.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users for analytics | 2 years |
_gid |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes users within a day | 24 hours |
_gat |
Google Analytics | Throttles request rate to Google Analytics | 1 minute |
The following third-party services may set cookies in connection with your use of Axelis. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by the respective providers' privacy policies.
Supabase, our backend and authentication provider, sets cookies related to your authenticated session. These are described in the Essential Cookies section above. Supabase's privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
When you connect your Google account (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, Tasks), Google may set cookies related to the OAuth authentication flow. These cookies are set by Google's authentication servers and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
When you view billing pages or complete a payment, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment security purposes. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
When you connect Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Spotify accounts, those platforms' OAuth flows may set temporary cookies during the authorization process. These cookies are controlled by the respective platforms.
We do not permit third-party advertising networks to set cookies through the Axelis platform. We do not engage in cookie-based cross-site behavioral advertising.
As a web application, Axelis uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage to store application state, cached data, and user preferences. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server with every request, but it persists in your browser. You can clear localStorage by clearing your browser's site data for axelis.ai.
We may include transparent tracking pixels in marketing emails to understand whether emails were opened and whether links were clicked. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our communications. You can prevent this by disabling image loading in your email client. Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email.
Axelis may use service workers to enable offline functionality, background sync, and push notifications (if you have enabled them). Service worker caches are stored in your browser and can be cleared through browser developer tools or by clearing site data.
You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain cookies, or alert you when cookies are being set. However, disabling essential cookies will break core functionality of the Axelis platform (you will not be able to stay logged in). Analytics and third-party cookies can generally be disabled without affecting core functionality.
Browser cookie settings for major browsers:
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We honor DNT signals by disabling non-essential analytics tracking for users who have DNT enabled.
Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any Axelis marketing email, or email elijahgreen@lostboygraphics.com to opt out. Note that transactional emails (billing receipts, security alerts) cannot be opted out of.
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to withdraw consent to non-essential cookies at any time. Non-essential cookies are deployed only after you have provided consent. You may change your cookie preferences at any time through the Axelis cookie preference center (accessible from the footer of axelis.ai).
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add or change features, integrate new services, or as regulations evolve. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
